    Overview

    Summer of Art is a four-week college preparation program for art & design and is fully online for the 2021 session. The program is for serious young artists seeking to strengthen and enhance their art and design skills as well as students with limited art training. Find out more!

    Experience what it is like to study at one of the nation's premier art and design colleges with college faculty and artist professionals. Get a preview of the college experience and earn college credit! Choose from an array of specialization courses and foundation drawing courses.

    Specialization Courses include Architecture/Landscapes/Interiors, Character Development and Design, Concept ArtDigital Media: 2D Animation, Digital Media: 3D Animation, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Urban Art, Product and Toy Design, and Storytelling and Animatics. Drawing Studio Courses include Beginning Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, Life Drawing, and Drawing from the Costumed Model (required for fashion specialization).

    Rigorous course work includes online demonstrations, lectures, and critique in your chosen Specialization Course (three days per week) and/or Drawing Studio Course (two days per week). Classes will meet Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm PST through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous class meetings. Two units of college credit for Specialization Courses and one unit of college credit for Drawing Studio Courses are awarded to eligible students upon successful completion of the program.
