    Overview

The 2025 Abarbanel Summer Seminar is dedicated to fostering the next generation of Jewish leaders. Judaism and the Challenge of Modernity, an interdisciplinary experience for intellectually ambitious high school students, will take place July 6-24 in Leiden, The Netherlands.

Students in the 2025 Abarbanel Summer Seminar will study the historical and philosophical texts that gave birth to the modern world and visit museums, synagogues, and cultural venues throughout the Netherlands that highlight the interconnections of art, politics, science, religion, and commerce that characterized the Dutch Golden Age. Additionally, students will have opportunities to meet with leaders of the Dutch Jewish community and socialize with Dutch Jews their own age, building bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between different Jewish communities. Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are encouraged to apply. VISIT THE PROGRAM WEBSITE FOR DETAILS.
