    Overview

We offer a wide range of summer programming at our Old City and Ardmore locations for ages 2 through adult: pre-professional intensives, week long dance camps, and weekly classes.

    Full Day Intensive

Beginner and intermediate dancers ages 6 to 10 learn and polish basic technique as well as explore new genres in: Ballet, Theater Dance, Contemporary, Pilates, and a student-inspired Choreography class in this camp. Please pack a lunch and water each day.

    Intermediate Intensive

Serious intermediate young dancers age 9+ train nearly 30 hours per week in: Pilates, a two-hour Ballet technique class, Contemporary Dance, Theater Dance, and Choreography. An excellent opportunity for students to refine their technique and develop strength in this camp. Please pack a lunch and water each day.

    Half Day Camp

Young dancers ages 4 to 6 explore Ballet, Theater Dance, and Pilates with a structured but fun and developmentally-appropriate approach in this camp. Please pack a snack and water each day.

    Intermediate/Advanced Intensive

Intermediate and advanced dancers really examine and perfect their ballet technique while they also explore their versatility as artists during this five-week intensive program featuring Philadelphia Dance Academy and guest faculty. This program is designed for current PDA students in Ballet 5/5X or 6/6X/7 and dancers age 13+ with five or more years of ballet training. The in-studio program will include: Ballet Technique, Pilates, Yoga, Franklin Method, Conditioning/Injury Prevention, Pointe, Contemporary, Choreography Composition, Theater Dance, Modern Technique, Hip Hop, Music Theory.

The Early Childhood & Primary summer classes below are designed to cultivate the joy for ballet in our youngest dancers while introducing them to the format of a dance class. The use of music and imagination keeps students engaged while they learn basic ballet vocabulary.
