    Overview

    FASTREC is an eight-week long summer program offered to high school graduates who are eligible for admission to Tuskegee University. You can pursue an intensive course of study in mathematics, engineering and study skills. MITE is a one-week summer program designed for motivated minorities to introduce them to the exciting world of engineering. MITAS is a one-week summer program is designed to introduce high school rising seniors and juniors to various aspects of Aviation Science.

    FASTREC is a great opportunity for those students who are college calculus ready with a minimum SAT math score of 540/ACT math score of 24. Students will begin their engineering education early and earn up to 7 credits towards their BS degree in Engineering. Students selected to participate in FASTREC are awarded full tuition for the summer program. Upon acceptance, all students will be required to pay room and board. MITE I, Mentoring InTo Engineering, is for rising sophomores and juniors while MITE II is for rising seniors. This great opportunity allows students to participate in lectures, laboratory demonstrations, and facility tours as well as preform hands on discipline-oriented engineering projects. MITAS, Mentoring Introduction to Aviation Science, includes curriculum topics in aviation history, physics of flight, powering of aircraft, airframe structure, propulsion, and autonomous systems.
