    Overview

The Women in Engineering Program is excited to offer a virtual summer program geared toward high school-aged women who are considering majoring in engineering and potentially pursuing it as a career.  This week-long virtual program will introduce participants to the various disciplines of engineering through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and conversations with faculty, staff, and students in the Clark School of Engineering.

Each activity is intended to highlight the relevance of engineering in our daily life and how engineering can work to improve societal problems. All activities will be supervised by current engineering students and conducted in a safe learning environment at the Unversity of Maryland, College Park.

As a bonus, students will be familiarized with the engineering entrance requirements for college. Students that are interested in obtaining an engineering degree with have the chance to work with Clark School of Engineering staff to plan out what courses to take in high school to prepare for a college engineering program.
