    Overview

    The University of Notre Dame is offering three different study abroad opportunities for the summer of 2021. The destinations include Italy, South Africa, and Ireland. Find out more!

    Italy Program: 

    For twelve days, students will participate in a seminar focusing on the history and culture of Italy. Taught by Notre Dame faculty, students will surely learn a lot about art history, architecture, and anthropology. The classes also take place inside of the beautiful Notre Dame Rome Global Gateway. Outside of the classroom, students can visit Italy's landmarks and fully immerse themselves in the local culture. Upon completion of this program, students can receive one college credit.

    South Africa Program: 

    This program is a thirteen-day seminar focusing on social cognition and its connection to racism. Taught by Notre Dame Psychology professor Anre Venter, students will learn about South Africa through their experiences inside and outside of the classroom. They can also expect to explore South Africa's efforts in environmental and wildlife conservation. Through this amazing opportunity, students will surely develop new ways of thinking and grow as an individual. Students are also eligible to earn one college credit upon completion of this course. 

    Ireland Program: 

    In this program, Notre Dame faculty and local scholars will guide students as they explore Ireland's rich culture, history, and landscape. Over twelve days, students will learn about Irish culture in various locations, including the Keough-Naughton Notre Dame Center and the castle of Kylemore Abbey. They can expect to travel across Ireland and learn through their experiences. Upon completion of this course, students can earn one college credit.
