The Montana Blackfeet Reservation is a legendary VISIONS program that remains a life-changing memory even for people who participated three decades ago. You are welcomed by local friends, elders, the Brave Dog Society, and other tribal members who work diligently to serve their community while also preserving traditions and bringing back the Blackfeet language. Projects range from carpentry to social service, with multiple worksites to choose from each day.
Service work naturally blends with cultural engagement as you help set up teepees for ceremonies and are then invited to attend those very ceremonies. We attend the powwow, go horseback riding, hike, and connect with sacred Blackfeet ancestral lands. You’ll be part of a group of peers, leaders and community members who work and adventure together to achieve shared goals, and celebrate along the way.
VISIONS programs offer the opportunity for powerful personal transformation and radical community building, which together serve as a starting point on a life path of deep meaning and purpose.

The Montana Blackfeet VISIONS program was the most incredible experience of my life. I loved our leaders so much, they were so fun and helpful and made me feel really comfortable talking to them. We also got to help with a Sundance, which was amazing because not everyone gets to do that. I also got to try new things like horseback riding and rock climbing and camping. The mountains were beautiful and I also loved learning about the culture from the Elders that we spent time with. I'm still talking to the friends I made! I loved everything about it!
