Some of our volunteers even go on to pursue their volunteer areas professionally, so whether you're interested in a marine-related career or just want to get your feet and hands wet. in the world of water, the Aquarium is the perfect place to volunteer your time and energy. Paid Summer Teen Internships are available for the below listed cities. If you do not meet the criteria, please keep reading on how you can still be involved. CAMBRIDGE RESIDENTS: 14-18 years, fill out an AQ application starting February vacation week, apply for the Mayor's Youth Summer Employment Program (MYSEP) BOSTON RESIDENTS: 15-17 years old, Registered with the Boston Youth Fund (starting February Vacation Week), fill out an AQ application starting February vacation week CHELSEA RESIDENTS: please call for details OTHER TEENS 16+ Volunteer opportunities are available year-round in many different departments. Most positions require a six-month commitment, and volunteers work one full day a week (8 a.m.- 6 p.m.). Limited weekend positions, short term and one-shot opportunities are also available. Teens age 16 but not yet 18 years old are eligible to participate in our Aquarium Guide Training program. Most positions require a six month commitment.
