    Overview

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is the leading provider of hands-on environmental conservation programs for teens and young adults. Participants help restore national parks, marine sanctuaries, cultural sites, and community green spaces nationwide. SCA focuses on equitable access to nature, green job opportunities, and training future environmental stewards.

Houston Urban Green, part of the SCA, offers paid conservation jobs and volunteer opportunities for teens and young adults to restore parks, build trails, and connect with nature. The School-Year Program provides weekend volunteer experiences, including five camping trips focused on trail building, habitat restoration, and invasive species removal, along with environmental education and outdoor activities. Check the SCA website to get started and for more opportunities!
