Driven by the goal of curing spinal cord injury–related paralysis and helping millions walk again, the Buoniconti family founded The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis in 1992. This nonprofit raises funds and awareness to support The Miami Project’s main objective: repairing and restoring function to the injured and diseased nervous system, thereby improving the quality of life for patients worldwide.
