    Overview

Our homebase in the Sacred Valley of the Inca has welcomed VISIONS groups for 25 years. We help Quechua indigenous communities on a lifeblood project: water. Add your name to the legacy of miles of water canals constructed with humble farmers whose crops and livelihoods would otherwise be in peril from the increasing drought conditions. There's also plenty of time for exploration: Machu Picchu, ancient ruins, sprawling markets, chocolate-making workshops, and more.

In addition to our summer programs for teens, VISIONS runs high quality, GROUP volunteer travel programs for schools, clubs, families and others who want to travel with the spirit of community service, cultural immersion and adventure. VISIONS Peru offers the opportunity to become part of the community of Urubamba, nestled in the Sacred Valley of the Inca at the base of the Andes. Groups of volunteers get to join our 25-year tradition of deep friendships that are built upon the shared accomplishments of constructing water systems with indigenous Quechua people who rely on this water as lifeblood. We also work with children and do other hands-on service. In addition to high-impact projects, we journey to Machu Picchu, extraordinary artisan markets, ancient ruins, Incan salt mines, and more. VISIONS group volunteer programs can be customized for durations of one to four weeks and are open to people of all ages. Learn more on our website or by calling the VISIONS office at 406-551-4423.
